20!!!Just a quick note that the New York Mets celebrated their 20th use of the disabled list earlier today placing Alex Cora on the team's favorite list. The Mets have recalled Wilson Valdez to replace Alex Cora on the roster. Valdez should have been up a long time ago, he's the only true short stop option we have and should have never been replaced by Argenis Reyes or Angel Berroa. My last post commenced with "The Injury Bug Bites Again," and since that Aug. 7 piece, we have seen a further injury to Carlos Delgado, no progress for Reyes, Beltran and Maine, David Wright beaned onto the DL and Alex Cora down for the count with two thumbs to the wind, so to speak.
