"Minaya said Alou could be back with the team 'probably sometime next week.' Willie Randolph also said he was 'hoping that by the time we get back home he'll be close.'"
This will be a big lift for the Mets who have sorely missed his bat and haven't had their starting outfield in the same lineup since May 12th.
