Mets geriatric Moises Alou will miss four-to-six weeks following surgery to correct a hernia.
Alou, at age 41, remains a fearsome hitter, however, he simply is never healthy. At the rate the Mets are going, it seems the hot-hitting Angel Pagan is a lock to break camp with the big club, however, would anyone be surprised to see Fernando Martinez crack the opening day roster as well?
Truly a miserable start for the 2008 Mets.
