Carlos Beltran was cleared to play in games and will begin a rehab assignment with Brooklyn. I know many of us would like to see Beltran shut down for the season, just as a precaution, especially after the way injuries have occurred this year. But for Beltran I'm sure he doesn't want to go into the off-season with all these lingering questions, either he gets out there and rebuilds his confidence in his knee or realizes he needs surgery. If somehow Beltran gets out there and hurts himself on the field, regardless of the circumstances it will be a public relations nightmare for the Mets. Beltran is Audtioning for Indianapolis
Last night Carlos Beltran returned from a “bone bruise,” on his knee in a rehab start for the Brooklyn Cyclones. I keep hearing, and reading people asking why he is even trying right now.
