MVN:
As the Cubs apparently seem ready to say so long to Rich Harden, the question remains: Will they offer him arbitration?
Seems like a no-brainer. The worst-case scenario is they pay Harden around $10 million or $12 million for one year and he gets hurt. The best-case scenario is they pay Harden around $10 million or $12 million for one year and he is among the best pitchers in baseball.
In between is a mediocre year or he refuses arbitration and signs elsewhere - and the Cubs get picks.
