The Dodgers had a spot opening up in their rotation. It will be filled by Hong-Chih Kuo. Huh? What about Chad Billingsley? We try to answer this one...

  • I give it a month until hes on the rotation. If anything else happens It could be sooner.
  • It's not always the worst thing to hold a SP prospect back a little. Billingsley has a ton of talent. The Dodgers have a great shot at the postseason. That's a long season for a young pitcher. Dictating the pace of the season and the wear and tear on a young arm is important.
  • I certainly agree with saving a young arm, but I wouldn't have a problem putting him on a 6 inning cap per start (along with a pitch count) for the early part of the season. I'd also make him the #5, which would allow for his spot to be skipped. I can see what your saying though, baseball has had enough Prior's, Wood's and Liriano's.
