It appears that Elmer Dessens will be returning to the Mets bullpen to replace Jon Niese on the roster. Initially I thought Dessens would be the smart move if we were a contender but as things have turned out, I'd rather see one of the younger pitchers get a chance ( Bostick/Kunz).However, Dessens needs just 10 major league days to earn his pension and for a journeyman like him, I'm sure that pension is as important as any of ours.
