The Mets are looking to fill the voids in the pen and the rotation by acquiring Japanese imports. Koji Uehara, Minaya sees as a starter more than a reliever. The Red Sox seem interested according to NPB Tracker. Uehara is a 33 year old RHP, that was 6-5, with a 3.81 ERA. The Mets like Ken Takahashi to fill the role left by Scott Schoeneweis.
