After watching countless Sportsnet Jays telecasts I had noticed myself starting to get brainwashed by the announcers repeating the same refrain: ?gThere isn?ft a team in MLB that wouldn?ft love to have the Jays rotation 1-5??. Oh really? I somehow remember cursing my TV at the ineptness of Josh Towers and have somehow glazed over his replacement, Jesse Litsch. Well I decided to look into him a little further.

    If I can't name a team's 1-5 starters, then that's not a rotation i'm dying to have.
  • That might have to do with the Jays getting no national exposure. They are: Roy Halladay, AJ Burnett, Shaun Marcum, Dustin McGowan, Jesse Litsch. They have had the best ERA in the AL since the all-star break if I am not mistaken.
  • Litsch would have better results if the defense would come around when he pitches. Until then it is hard to gauge where he might go. It should be pointed out that his ERA keeps improving. He is still young, has great composure, and does not seem to be ruffled by his experiences. He generally has been able to respond to adversity, and has shown himself to be a gamer. Given time I believe he will continue to improve into a consistent starter.
