In yet another sign of the bungled management that leads the New York Mets, the closing ceremonies to Shea Stadium turned out to be more like a funeral than a celebration. Why, you ask. Well, once again the people in the front office made the BRUTAL decision to have the big gala AFTER the game, rather than before the first pitch.

As the lights go out for good in Shea Stadium, the only home most of us have known for our NY Mets ends the way so many seasons in the past have, with disappointment. I had come to accept the fact that this team might not make it to the playoffs, with as tumultuous and injury plagued season as they had it amazed me that they actually returned to contention. Byrnes for Castillo?
The Diamondbacks are very interested in bringing back Adam Dunn, but will not have room for him unless they trade either Eric Byrnes, Connor Jackson, or Justin Upton.
