Upton to Steal Cantu's 2B job?

It's possible that BJ Upton could take over as the Rays starting second baseman because he's better (are you ready for this) defensively. Ouch. That means Gomes and Cantu will fight over the DH role. Both had productive 2005 seasons and dissapointing 2006 campaigns.

Upton has done very little offensively this spring, but regardless of what he does with the bat, he should be an asset with his legs. A starting gig that won't be yanked from him should also help his confidence.
