Found December 02, 2012 on Dodgers Rumors:
Hey Colletti! You better not let this happen!! Yes, we all know Brian Wilson wants to pitch for the Dodgers, but why would we want him in Dodger blue? It’s not because of his beard, you know the one that goes far beyond ridiculous. It’s not because he is coming off a 48 saves season, that was 2010. Sure he had 36 in 2011, but he also missed a big part of the season due to injury. Then in 2012, he manages to post two innings before going down and having reconstructive elbow surgery. The Giants non-tendered him, major red flag anyone? If the Giants are willing to let him walk, something must be up. Plus on top of all that, he is an ex-Giant, and it’s not like we have a great history with bringing ex-Giants to Los Angeles. As a matter of fact we have been burned on every occasion if my memory serves me correct. If not Jason Schmidt and Juan Uribe should be reason enough to avoid ex-Giants until the end of time. Of course the Dodgers may be in the clear, according to Dylan Hernandez the interest of Brian Wilson in Dodger blue is not mutual among both parties. Hernandez says the Dodgers are not expected to pursue “The Beard” this winter. Even on an incentive-laden deal similar to the one Ryan Madson signed with the Angels. Madson, who underwent a similar procedure, is guaranteed $3.5 million and could earn another $3.5 million in roster bonuses and performance-based incentives. I still don’t want any part of the beard. I don’t like him Sam I am, I don’t want him in blue, I want to kick him with my shoe. The Winter Meetings kick off tomorrow from Nashville, nothing can be ruled out at this point, but I would really like to think we can rule out Brian Wilson, his bad elbow, and his stupid beard.

Dee Gordon Officially Hits The Trade Block

The Dodgers are telling teams shortstop Dee Gordon is available, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Yep, the Dodgers former top prospect is officially on the trade block. Gordon, 24, had a very strong debut in 2011, but failed to live up to expectations in 2012 being outplayed by fellow Dodgers Elian Herrera and Luis Cruz. Gordon hit just .228/.280/.281 in 330 plate appearances...

Los Angeles Dodgers taking cash to Nashville?

Show me the money. Or at least that is what the Dodgers are telling FOX. Earlier this week, it was reported the Los Angeles Dodgers were going to receive $6 billion over 25 years from FOX Sports for local cable television rights.  FOX’s current deal with the Dodgers, which amounts to about $40 million per year, expires after the 2013 season.  The belief was FOX wanted to ink...

The Winter Meetings are almost upon us, as the Dodgers prepare for their first Winter Meetings under the Guggenheim era. The Dodgers are expected to be busy and ready to spend big. Dodgers Move Closer To Signing Greinke

Things look to be moving in the right direction for the Los Angeles Dodgers as it pertains to their offseason prospects.  Just this last week they set up a meeting with star pitcher Zach Greinke and the meeting reportedly went well.  While it is anything but a done deal, picking up Greinke could make the Los Angeles Dodgers sure fire MLB picks going into the much anticipated 2013...

Dodgers check in on R.A. Dickey, but an acquisition doesn't seem likely

It isn't too often a Cy Young award winner is traded less than a month after winning the award, but the Mets are trying to do just that with R.A. Dickey. The Dodgers have interest in the 38-year-old knuckleballer after having checked in with the Mets today at the Winter Meetings. Normally, going after a Cy Young award winner would be a no-brainer, but there are a lot...

Dodgers Winter Meetings: Day 1 Recap

Today was perhaps the calm before the storm. No doubt Dodgers GM Ned Colletti was working all angles today, but here is a quick recap of what leaked out of Nashville today. Dee Gordon is being shopped by the Dodgers, my guess is in a package for a starting pitcher, James Shields anyone? I will not be shocked at all if Gordon is traded in the next couple of days. Ken Rosenthal says...

Zack Greinke Rumors: Dodgers ‘Determined’ to Sign Free Agent

The Los Angeles Dodgers are “determined” to sign free agent Zack Greinke, no matter the cost, and it’s pretty clear they are going to extend the right-hander his largest offer of the winter, reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. But it seems pretty clear who is going to offer Greinke the biggest deal. The Dodgers seem determined to sign him, no matter the cost. ...

Rumor Mill: The Calm Before The Storm – Greinke Contenders, No Wilson, Shopping Dee

As most everybody knows by now, the Dodgers are in on Zack Greinke and desperately want him to be a part of the club. Dodgers executives met with Zack Greinke in Los Angeles yesterday, Yahoo’s Tim Brown reported last night. The Dodgers view Greinke as critical to their pitching staff, Brown reports. Greinke is believed to have enjoyed pitching for the Angels during the second half...

Around The Web: Player Trade Value, TV Revenue, Stolen Base Value, NPB/MLB Fight

Grantland: Part 1 of Jonah Keri ranking the 50 best players in terms of trade value. No Dodgers here yet, but Carlos Santana finds a spot at #43. The other two catcher rankings are the ones likely to elicit the most hate mail. In the first draft of this list, I had Santana considerably higher. Twenty-six-year-old switch-hitting catcher, career .806 OPS, signed for peanuts at four...
