Last night, Jason Pridie went 2 for 5 with two RBIs, both of which came on his sixth inning double that gave the Mets the lead for good. After the game, Pridie discussed his performance with reporters and basically said: He was happy to chip in and contribute to the team’s success. It was an adjustment at first when he was moved back into a reserve role, but he feels he has gotten a handle on how to keep himself prepared. He has focused on getting back to basics, instilling simplistic approaches in himself, such as “see the ball, hit the ball”. Pridie certainly seems to figuring out the art of coming off the bench. In his last six games, Jason has five hits, two of which went for extra bases, and three RBIs. After filling in admirably during Angel Pagan‘s early season DL stint, Pridie had become a forgotten man of sorts.
