For my money, this Jim Edmonds catch is the best outfield catch of all time. He was in a full tilt sprint toward the wall and laid out horizontally to make the play.
Scott Madl, an outfielder for the 19 and under Pottstown Steelers American Legion team in Pennsylvania, did his best to out-do Edmonds. And he may have.
There was no outfield wall nearby nor was Madl running with his back completely to the infield, but it was still one heck of a play.
