Bo Porter's big league managerial career is only 11 games old. And in his second game with Albert Pujols in the other dugout, the youngest skipper in the majors saw firsthand how tough an out the three-time MVP is with the game on the line.
Pujols hit a two-run double off Jose Veras with two outs in the ninth inning on Saturday night, handing the Astros a 5-4 loss that snapped their three-game winning streak. Josh Hamilton sparked the Angels' comeback with his first home run for his new club.
''Albert Pujols is Albert Pujols. He's one of the best players for a reason,'' Porter said. ''It's a tough loss, and it's unfortunate because the guys played their hearts out.''
