A person with knowledge of the negotiations says the Oakland Athletics have agreed to trade right-handed reliever Brad Ziegler to the Arizona Diamondbacks for a pair of minor leaguers. The swap was pending medical review, the person told The Associated Press on Sunday, speaking on condition of anonymity because neither team had announced the deal. The A's were set to receive left-hander Jordan Norberto and first baseman Brandon Allen from Arizona. The 31-year-old Ziegler is 3-2 with a 2.39 ERA in 43 appearances and 37 2-3 innings. He will join an Arizona team hoping to challenge the World Series champion San Francisco Giants in the NL West race.
