So it’s becoming increasingly clear to me that Kevin Kouzmanoff just isn’t going to work out for the A’s. I know it’s only been a season and a month but he hasn’t done much over that time. It probably wouldn’t be a big deal if Kouz were surrounded by stud players. The problem is he isn’t surrounded by those players and he just isn’t helping the A’s. So I thought to myself, where could the A’s get a 3rd baseman to improve the team? The first thing I thought of is just replacing him everyday at third with Andy LaRoche. Then I came to my senses. As good of back up as LaRoche is he wouldn’t be a huge step up from Kouzmanoff. It’s better just to keep him as a back up. The second thing I thought about was the minors. Looking through the AAA system I saw no one that would improve the A’s. Sure maybe there is a chance that whoever is brought up would takeoff. The last thing this A’s team needs is more “...
