Then when Friday came around, after a day off, Wright was not in the line-up and talking about how his pinkie was too swollen to swing a bat or throw the ball, I began to think maybe they're pushing it. Even with his first inning homerun, as I watched him squeezing the foam to keep his finger loose and the announcers discussing how playing would slow the healing process, I'm concerned that this might not be a good idea. If Wright is rushing back, is that Wright's work ethic pushing to return and if so, should the Mets allow him to be returning or is there other pressure to return.
