The Oakland A's recalled first baseman Chris Carter from Class AAA Sacramento and sent down right-hander Tyson Ross, csnbayarea.com reported Friday. Carter hit .279 with 12 home runs and a team-high 53 RBI for the River Cats. He has batted just .167 in 39 games with the A's since 2010. Ross, who has been shuttled back and forth between Oakland and Sacramento, is 2-8 with a 6.35 ERA in 12 starts for the A's this year.
