Bonser, Tankersley Among Players Cut So Far

Soon after I posted this morning a few of the cuts started filtering in. Boof Bonser was optioned according to Andy Martino. Russ Adams is gone too says Steve Popper. Taylor Tankersley is out. Dusty Ryan is out. Original Post 8:20 AM After a brief analysis of the roster, I would expect the following players to be cut from Mets camp today and tomorrow. Pitchers – Boof Bonser (5.40 ERA), Ryota Igarashi (7.20 ERA), Taylor Tankersley (12.27 ERA) and Dillon Gee (5.40 ERA). Catchers – Raul Chavez (.154 BA) Infielders – Justin Turner (.276 BA), Russ Adams (.276 BA) Outfielders – Jason Pridie (.150) That’s eight players, and Alderson said he could cut up to nine. Blaine Boyer could also get cut instead of Gee, but he’s having a solid spring and I feel they will keep him around a little longer to see what they have in him.
