Domonic Brown was the lone highlight tonight. (Photo: AP) Following an hour and 48 minute rain delay, the Phillies took the field and got to doing what they do best–losing baseball games. This time, it was 6-3, but the score hardly matters. Another notch in the loss column, making it 19 losses in their last 24 games. In a game that also featured a stoppage for bats and an injury delay within the first two innings, the only unremarkable thing on the field was the Phillies effort. They’ve been flat-lining for weeks, and a revival doesn’t seem to be coming. Hapless and uninspired, your 2013 Philadelphia Phillies delivered once again tonight. LANNAN EXITS EARLY - John Lannan has seen better starts to a month. In his first two starts since the calendar flipped to August, he’s surrendered 10 earned runs in 9.1 innings pitched. Perhaps it was pitching on three day’s rest, which he did last week, that has thrown Lannan off, but he has quickly lost it after having a very productive July (3....

Charlie Manuel’s Dentures Almost Pop Out of His Mouth During Phillies-Braves Game (GIF)

Phillies manager Charlie Manuel is one of the most entertaining and well-respected managers in all of baseball. He also has some of the fakest teeth in the game apparently. It probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that a 69-year-old big league manager has dentures, but Manuel left no doubt about that Tuesday night in Atlanta. During a 3-1 loss to the Braves — Philly...

The Phils give Charlie Manuel his 1,000 career win as a manager, as they defeat the Braves, 5-1.

Behind the complete game pitching of Cole Hamels, the Phils give their manager Charlie Manuel his 1000th career win as a manager, as they also end their road losing streak, as they defeat the Braves, 5-1. The Phils took the lead in the top of the third as, with a runner on third, and with one man out, Jimmy Rollins hits an RBI single, scoring Cole Hamels, who had just tripled, giving...

From the Phillies Facebook Charlie Manuel gets ripped for lots of things- playing Michael Martinez, bad in-game moves, not being willing to move certain players in the order, and more. He mostly deserves those shots, and soon those things will end- I see no way that Charlie is back in...
