Found September 01, 2009 on Another Cubs Blog:
It’s nice to see someone in the media is capable of pointing out how many players on this roster are responsible for the 2009 season. Ryan Theriot is one of them. The whole roster is in my opinion, but the media has enjoyed blaming Bradley for weeks now. One guy I looked at today was Ryan Theriot. Look at his walks and strikeouts this year and last: 2008 Walks: 73 Strikeouts: 58 2009 Walks: 35 Strikeouts: 78 Not good. Since the all-star break, Theriot has a hitting line of .281/.323/.333 for an OPS of .656. Before the break, he was at .299/.354/.423 for an OPS of .777. The other day, he made two outs on a grand total of 3 pitches. You can’t have that from your leadoff man. Theriot disagrees with the last part. He also made 2 outs on 3 pitches in his first 2 at-bats tonight. Cubs are currently leading the mentally unprepared Astros 3-1 in the top of the 7th.
