Macho Row:

Eric Bruntlett, who was taking the place of Chase Utley at second base as the all star got a day off, had a productive day. The backup and much maligned infielder recorded three hits on the day and was an overturned call away from a fourth hit in the ninth inning.
That overturned call, which took away a triple for Bruntlett, happened in the ninth inning when the second baseman could not handle a grounder on two consecutive plays. With nobody out and two runners on the Mets had the runners running on the pitch from closer Brad Lidge. The line drive went right to Bruntlett's glove as he stepped on second base for two outs and then Bruntlett put the tag on the runner from first base for the unassisted triple play.
The unassisted triple play is the second in franchise history and 15th in baseball history. Of course, Mickey Morandini pulled off the feat for the Phillies in 1992 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Below is video of Bruntlett's historic unassisted triple play, courtesy of The Fightins.
