Under Armour is featuring Washington Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper in their new ad campaign, and that's a smart decision considering Harper's budding level of superstardom. The one minute commercial is done very well, featuring Harper working out and preparing for the baseball season on a diamond in his hometown of Las Vegas. Then, you get to the 26-second mark of the video and are greeted with one second of a shirtless Harper lifting weights in a room light by blacklight, complete with glow in the dark material on the weights and Harper's various bodily wraps being illuminated by the blacklight.  The rest of the commercial then proceeds like the first 25 seconds, highlighting Harper in the gym and on the diamond. But what was up with that random, bizarre second in the middle of the video with the blacklight? It doesn't fit in with the rest of the commercial, and just seems odd when put up against everything else. I'm curious as to what Under Armour's thought process was there. [USA Today] [follow]
