Philly Buster:
The fun thing about Cliff Lee is that he takes as much pride in his hitting as his pitching. And yesterday, he became the first Phillies pitcher since Chan Ho Park in 2009 to hit a home run.
Lee blasted a pitch to right center field, sending it 397 feet and giving the Phillies a 1-0 lead in the third inning. It was the first home run of Lee’s career. Lee went eight strong innings for the day, giving up just three hits and one run, while striking out nine.
Lee received a standing ovation from the Philly crowd and took a curtain call.
