I've been after Corey Seager's 2012 Bowman Chrome Rookie Card Auto, but it has been quite elusive and expensive. I have a particular price in mind I don't want to exceed and I don't plan on it unless I come into a windfall of cash. Until then I have to placate my desires as a modest Seager SuperCollector with other awesome cards of the Dodgers' prospect.Today's post will highlight one such card I was recently able to nail down. Can you say 'MERICA? #MERICA y'all. I had been longing to add this sweet piece to my Seager PC for some time and eventually came upon a reasonably priced auction. I bid, not expecting to win as so often happens. But I did win, of course.Otherwise this here post today wouldn't be able to be posted. It's a marvelous 2010 Bowman Chrome USA Baseball RC Auto with Corey in his Sunday Red, White, and Blue. I'm calling it a RC; it may not "technically" be one. Whatever. I adore it. The card is much more aesthetica...

Hyun Jin Ryu cares not for your concept of hustle … and he has a point

Hyun Jin Ryu made his Dodgers and MLB debut yesterday, and in the bottom of the six inning he came to bat and did … well … that. Some people on Twitter didn’t take too kindly to him dogging it, and the fans at the field booed him for it, but most importantly, the dugout didn’t seem to appreciate it, including Don Mattingly. One message that Ryu figures to receive in the next...

Kemp still looking for 1st hit of 2013

The franchise has been sold, the stadium renovated, the roster overhauled, the payroll boosted to more than $200 million. But one truth of the Dodgers' universe remains unchanged: They need Matt Kemp. And because they don't have him yet - at least, not the Kemp of 2011 - the Dodgers lost their season-opening series to the defending world champion Giants. That alone is...

Ryu has memorable, promising debut

In the sixth inning of his greatly anticipated major league debut, Hyun-Jin Ryu was booed at home after he loafed to first base on a groundout. Minutes later, Ryu received a partial standing ovation from the Dodger Stadium faithful as he departed with the Dodgers trailing in what became a 3-0 loss to the rival Giants. That summed up Tuesday night for the most celebrated pitcher...

Dodgers' Carl Crawford sits for second-straight game

The Dodgers are either playing the splits early or Carl Crawford's elbow is bothering him.  He sat out for the second-straight game to start the season yesterday.  No real reason has been given for Crawford not being in the lineup, but considering his ongoing soreness after Tommy John surgery, it would seem the elbow is the real reason he hasn't played. Dylan Hernandez...

MLB Recap: San Francisco Giants pick up first win of season with 3-0 victory against Los Angeles Dodgers

The San Francisco Giants came into today looking for revenge against the hated rival Los Angeles Dodgers and they got exactly that. After starting off the season being shutout 4-0 by Clayton Kershaw, San Francisco sent 23-year-old Madison Bumgarner to the hill and he delivered in a big way. Bumgarner (1-0) shutout the Dodgers offense for 8 innings while only allowing 2 base runners...
