Coco Crisp, a key component of the Oakland Athletics' playoff-contending lineup, missed Tuesday night's game at Cleveland due to a bruised right foot.

Manager Bob Melvin said that X-rays were negative and that Crisp is day-to-day. Crisp fouled the first pitch of his third-inning at-bat off his foot Monday night.

Crisp is batting .304 in 54 starts since moving into the leadoff spot. He was batting .178 to that point.

With Crisp unavailable, Stephen Drew, acquired eight days before in a deal with Arizona, hit leadoff. He had 210 career starts in the leadoff spot with the Diamondbacks but was unsuccessful in that role this season. He hit .156 (10-for-64) in 16 games atop the Arizona lineup in 2012.

Also part of the Crisp-related lineup change: Josh Reddick, 5-for-8 the previous two games after being shuffled from the third spot in the order to the sixth, was moved up to the No. 2 hole. It was his first appearance of the season in that spot, though he had two career starts there with Boston.

Drew went 0-for-3 with two walks in Oakland's 7-0 win over the Indians. Reddick had a single and scored a run in five at-bats.
