While he had...
The San Diego Padres have been without outfielder Carlos Quentin over the past several games as he continues to be hampered by a knee injury. While Quentin was also unable to suit up for Sunday’s weekend finale,
the Padres are hoping to have him back in their starting lineup for today’s series
opener against the Baltimore Orioles, according to Jamal Collier of MLB.com.
In a tight pitcher’s duel between Matt Harrison and Keyvius Sampson, the Missions prevailed 1-0 due to an RBI from Austin Hedges. Led by Lee Orr, the Storm blew out the 66ers 12-2. The TinCaps split a double-header while Hunter Renfroe recorded 3 hits in the Emeralds’ 6-1 victory.

Only 3 teams played tonight on the farm and the highlight was easily Zach Eflin’s dominant performance. Eflin was so good that he got the victory even though he was supported by only 4 hits. The AZL Padres were blown out by the AZL Giants while the T-Pads lost a close one 5-4.

Offense was hard to come by for every team in the Padre farm except for the TinCaps. Good pitching, however, was plentiful. Pete Kelich had another successful start for the AZL Padres while Matt Wisler dominated the RoughRiders to earn his 6th victory with San Antonio.

Kennedy admitted he had “adrenaline and emotion” working for him at the start of the game...
