Josh Byrnes has been dealin' as of late. Most people were pretty certain the Padres would make another trade before Christmas, albeit this wasn't exactly the move that everyone was expecting. (Hint: still waiting on a Rizzo trade). The trade that was made does make some sense with the new found depth at the catcher position, but as Steve said on Friarhood Radio last night you can never be too deep at catcher.
