It must be getting close to the end of the season because the news is hard to come by with the Padres of late. The MLB world only cares about winning teams, and since the Padres are not winning right now there is no news here apparently. Of course I have come to expect this come the offseason, but not with a week left to play. I thought we would still have some stuff to talk about. After my thorough browsing of the internet to try and find Padres related articles I have come across 4. Well actually I found 5, but one was on the Union Tribune site that I can't access because I have too many clicks. Anyways here are your Padres links for today coming off a loss to the Giants:Submit articles and follow me on twitter Follow @M_RennickPadres have little luck against Giants' Vogelsong - Padres.com"But after he allowed two line-drive singles and two balls that were hit on the screws for outs, Vogelsong didn't allow much of anything else, settling down to lead the Giants t...

San Diego Drops Final Two Games, Losing Series to L.A.

The Padres red hot play of August and early September has seemed to cool down as they lost their second straight series, dropping the final two against the Dodgers at Petco Park. They were unable to come back in Thursday night’s rubber match after again spotting the Dodgers...

Saturday brought us yet another candidate for catch of the year as San Diego Padres outfielder Cameron Maybin hauled in a beauty. Daily Friar 9.30.12

Maybe there is life in the Padres offense after all. After a week of scoring no more than 4 runs in a game, the Padres put up 7 last night on the heels of their best run producer. Chase Headley hit his 30th home run of the year and pushed his RBI total up to 112, which ties him with Ryan Braun for the NL lead. Those two have gone back and forth all month and will most likely come...

Daily Friar 9.28.12

I guess things come around full circle every once in a while. We all know how awful the season started, then how great we were playing in the middle of the season, and now things have gone bad once again. The Padres have dropped another series, this time against the Dodgers. The sad part is they are not losing close games they are getting blown out. Yes we have young pitchers who...
