It looks like Derek Jeter might have found a new flame to go with his new swing.

The New York Yankees shortstop was joined by an attractive new female friend during a night out with the boys Thursday at a Manhattan restaurant reports Page Six of The New York Post.

Jeter was seen having dinner at STK Midtown with a male buddy at about 8 p.m. but then left through the back door before shortly returning afterward to the same spot with a few others— including the mystery woman— for after-dinner drinks.

Observers said the woman fits the profile of of Jeter's past flames— tall and attractive with long, wavy hair.  She was seen joining in on the table's  conversation.

Would Derek Jeter's date look like anything less?

It isn't immediately clear if the woman is more than just a friend to the Yankee captain but the single Jeter seems to be moving on from his break-up with Minka Kelly.  Jeter split with his long-time girlfriend in February after months of speculation regarding their here-and-there appearances together. They dated for three years. Recently, Kelly has been seen being squired about Hollywood with Wilmer Valderrama (Fez from "That 70's Show").

This is the first woman Jeter has been publicly seen with since the formal breakup with the actress.

The single life seems to be agreeing with Jeter— at least at the plate.  The 37-year old is having  a fine start this season.  Through 20 games, he is batting .386 with a .590 slugging percentage and four home runs.

Kuroda's pitching and home-plate defense help Yanks edge O's

NEW YORK -- The ball bounced away from New York Yankees catcher Russell Martin and, with it, the game could have, too. At third base with two outs in the seventh inning and his team down a run, the Baltimore Orioles' Nick Markakis got a good jump, sprinting home. But Martin was quick, and so was Yankees starter Hiroki Kuroda, who had battled Orioles right-hander Jason Hammel...
