I had pretty much figured Clayton Kershaw
would win his first National League Gold Glove award this year,
though you know how it goes, so you can never be too sure. As for Matt Kemp
and Andre Ethier
, well it would be pretty sweet, but didn't give them a shot whatsoever of winning.
But hey what do you know? the dynamic trio took home the gold
in the 2011 Rawlings Gold Glove awards, a record haul in one year for the Dodgers. Not too shabby if I may say so.
Notice a name missing here? Yep that's right James Loney
. If there was any Dodger I would given the biggest odds of winning the Gold Glove, it would have been James Loney. But he got ousted by Joey Votto
, from what I understand it wasn't even close. Go figure the most deserving doesn't get it. Poor Loney just can't catch a break.
