Los Angeles Dodgers closer Jonathan Broxton has finally admitted to discomfort in his right elbow and had an MRI today.
Yeah, great Brox, what’s the point man? How many games have you lost us? How much have you been lambasted by fans and the media and you didn’t think that hey, I’m hurting, I should get this checked out? You do know that this is a make or break year for you and that if Mattingly and Honeycutt hadn’t noticed anything you may have been traded or not offered a contract this off-season right?
Well luckily they did notice and you will have an MRI and more than likely be shut down for at least 15 days. If Broxton does need to go on the disabled list, and I don’t see why he wouldn’t even if there’s no structural damage, Vicente Padilla will most likely take over 9th inning duties and the Dodgers will call up Kenley Jansen.
