The six-time All-Star took the stage during an Evansville (Ind.) ballet performance of "The Nutcracker."
Mattingly played Mother Ginger, who is a giant female character who's skirt and petticoats hide more than six children.
After the kids make their way out of the skirt, they dance in the ballet's second act.
