Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier will seek a third opinion on a knee injury that ended his season three weeks early.Ethier visited Friday with Dr. James Andrews, who confirmed the original diagnosis and recommended surgery. Ethier will speak to one more doctor before deciding on a course of action.The Dodgers opted to shut Ethier down Thursday, ending a disappointing season in which Ethier maintained he battled knee soreness all year long.The team took offense to Ethier's contention that he was being made to play through the pain, and he backed away from his stance.Ethier, 29, finishes with a .292 batting average to go along with 11 homers and 62 RBIs over 487 at-bats. He homered just twice after the All-Star break.
