Dodgers close to sending Lindblom and another to Philly for Victorino

Ugh. Best lede ever, right? Well, this is far from the best trade ever. I'm not upset the Dodgers are close to sending reliever Josh Lindblom and an unknown second player to the Phillies for Shane Victorino. I don't have time for instant analysis, but I'm not especially in favor of this deal. Victorino is a marginal upgrade at best and the Dodgers still need a...

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Hanley Ramirez lost his bat during a half-swing at a third strike as he struck out during a second inning at-bat of Monday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kershaw, Billingsley dominate Giants in SF

Payback is, well, you know. If you don't, ask the San Francisco Giants. During a three-game series in the Bay Area from June 25-27, the Dodgers were held scoreless, while the Giants scored 13 runs to sweep the series. The tables were turned this past weekend as Dodger pitching held the Giants without a run -- while the offense scored 19 -- to take the three games and move into...
