After last night's 5-4 walk off win by the Phillies over the Rockies, Phillies interviewer Gregg Murphy was standing by with Domonic Brown, who delievered the game winning hit. As Murphy began his interview, he warned Brown of teammate Kevin Frandsen creeping up behind him with a shaving cream pie in hand.
Buuuuuuuuuut, Frandsen wasn't looking to pie Brown. He handed the pie off to Brown, who proceeded to smash the pie in Murphy's face. This new trend of humilating post-game interviewers is something that I can definitely get behind.

Retired Philadelphia Phillies reliever Mitch Williams lived up to his "Wild Thing" nickname when he threw a poor ceremonial first pitch before Friday night's game at Citizens Bank Park.
The Philly Phanatic was behind home plate to catch the ball, but the throw from Williams was a few feet wide. That prompted the Phanatic...
The 2013 Phillies played their 48th player last night, Roger Bernadina, on pace to be the most “unique” group of Phillies since 1996, when the Fightins had 54 different players suit up for the club. By comparison, the 2012 Phillies played 49 players in an 81-81 effort while the five-time repeating NL East Champion squads averaged just 42.2 players and most of the numbers for...
Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Hollis Thomas shared a little secret the team has with baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies – an abundance or porn stored in the bowels of the Vet, where both teams shared a shower and rest area.
A few quotes, stats, and thoughts on the firing of Charlie Manuel
SHRIMP. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, and the Phillies and Diamondbacks wearing throwback uniforms for retro night, Chase Utley drew a walk to give the Phillies their third straight win–all via the walk-off. They’ve now won five of their last six.
The inning started off with two straight singles by Cody Asche and Jimmy Rollins, followed...
Another game, another walk off win. The Phillies have won three straight games after coming back late and winning in walkoff fashion. First with Michael Young on Wednesday, Domonic Brown Thursday and Chase Utley last night, the Phillies have certainly been exciting. Tonight they will look to build off of...
Hooray, internet! Thanks, @AndrewJGillen
Kyle Kendrick had the Rockies on their heels last night through the first five innings, allowing just one earned by locating his fastball and getting hitters to make weak contact on his cutter. The wheels came off for Kendrick in the sixth: he allowed three runs without getting an out. A three-run shot by Wilin Rosario was the knockout blow.
Last night’s performance by Kendrick...
A Phillies comeback win? Remember what that feels like? It seems like it’s been so long since we’ve seen one. Down a run going into the ninth inning, the game looked about over. But a leadoff double by Erik Kratz gave the Phillies life. Carlos Ruiz doubled in Kratz, and Michael Young finished the game with walkoff single.
Cliff Lee had his best outing in a while. It...
Maybe its the fact that Sandberg has players report an hour earlier, or maybe it’s that the Phillies couldn’t get much worse than 4 – 19, but for some reason, new manager Ryne Sandberg has the Phillies playing well. The Phils just earned Sanberg his first three-game winning streak, and even before the past three […]

Roger Bernadina is officially a Phillie. He of a .178 batting average and .517 OPS this season. He's been a passable 4th outfielder in the past with the Nationals, but not in 2013. Hence being released.Amaro is doing a helluva job fielding the worst team possible. He's give Casper Wells (.150/.380), John McDonald (.093/.336), and recently demoted Michael Martinez...
