In 2005, Derrek Lee carried many fantasy teams to the promised land with a season for the ages, hitting .335 while blasting 46 home runs, contributing 120 runs, 107 RBI and even 15 SB. However, in early 2006, a broken right wrist ended his hopes of a repeat season and sent him on a downward spiral. Broken wrists are legendary for sapping power from even the best hitters (might want to stay away from Quentin this year), and Lee was no exception. For some reason, fantasy owners still cling to Derek Lee circa 2005, and so far this year his ADP is 73.51. While this is a downgrade from years past, I believe this ranking is still much too high for an aging ex-slugger at a premiere power position.
