That’s how badly the Charlotte Knights have outscored the Buffalo Bisons over the last four days, resulting in four straight victories for the Knights in a series sweep over the Herd.

It started when Josh Rodriguez managed to bobble a ground ball, committing an error on the Knights very first batter of the game.
The error quickly led to a pair of runs for Charlotte, and before you knew it, the Bisons were playing catch-up ball.
The Herd managed to do well from behind early, twice coming back to tie the game after a pair of Charlotte leads.
“We tried to battle early today,” said Backman “The pitching is not as good as you want it to be and it makes it tough on your offense.”

Mike Baxter's rehab tour, now in Day 9, is moving to Triple-A Buffalo. That suggests Baxter may be ready to be activated from the disabled list this weekend, when the Mets visit Arizona.

The Mets selected Matz, a lefty fireballer in the second round of the 2009 draft. Because of questionable free agent practices, the Mets were without a first round or compensation round pick and Matz was left to be the team’s top pick for the year. Matz was a risky pick, as people questioned his mechanics and thought he was sure to be an injury risk but the Mets, hoping to...

You snooze, you lose. Sandman fell asleep at the...

With the New York Mets calling up their No. 2 pitching prospect Matt Harvey tomorrow in order for harvey to make his MLB debut this Thursday in Arizona, the Mets must decide which player to send down to the minors. The future arrived at Citi Field on Monday, eager to begin his New York Mets career. But before losing an 8-2, 10-inning game to the Nationals at Citi Field, the Mets spent most of their breath cautioning fans not to expect too much out of top prospect Matt Harvey right away.
