Found June 11, 2013 on We Talk Fantasy Sports:
The last time fantasy owners and Miami Marlins fans got to see Giancarlo Stanton play baseball was April 29th.  Over the 36 games he missed, the Marlins went just 11-25, beating the New York Mets 6 times, Marcell Ozuna, Derek Dietrich and Ed Lucas made their MLB debuts, and Logan Morrison returned.  With the names I just mentioned, the Marlins DO have a chance to be a better team, as long as Stanton and Morrison stay healthy.  Giancarlo went 1 for 4 in his return with a strike out as the Marlins lost 6-1 to the Brewers.  Ricky Nolasco got hit pretty hard over 5.1 innings allowing 10 hits, including Rickie Weeks 5th home run of the season.  Yovani Gallardo was excellent, winning his 5th games, tossing 8 shutout innings allowing 4 hits while striking out 4 Marlins.  Jonathon Lucroy continues to crush the ball, picking up 4 more hits and added 2 RBI, giving him 32 on the season.  Carlos Gomez and Weeks had 3 hits a piece for the Brew Crew and Gomez' 2 RBI gives him 33 on the year. After getting out to 6-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, the Boston Red Sox needed 14 innings to finally beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 10-8.  Alex Cobb was knocked around in the 1st giving up 2 RBI singles to Dusitin Pedroia and Mike Carp, an RBI double to Daniel Nava and an RBI single to Will Middlebrooks.  Tampa got 2 runs back in the bottom half of the 1st with solo home runs from Matt Joyce and Evan Longoria  off John Lackey.  Joyce almost hit another one later on, and Lackey didn't take a liking to his reaction, which later lead to Lackey beaning Joyce and causing the benches to clear! The Rays would score 4 more times before Boston, forcing extras on a Junichi Tazawa wild pitch, when Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a 2 RBI single in the top of the 10th.  Andrew Bailey blew the game in the bottom when Jose Lobaton hit the Rays 4th solo home run of the evening and Kelly Johnson walked with the bases loaded.Cesar Ramos was working in his 3rd inning before giving up RBI singles to Nava and Salty in the top of the 14th, and Franklin Morales shut down the Rays in the bottom half.  Saltalamacchia had 4 hits for the Sox while Ben Zobrist picked up 5 hits for the Rays.  The Red Sox struck out 17 times, lead by Stephen Drew with 4.Jered Weaver lost to Freddy Garcia, thanks in part to a lengthy rain delay, as the Orioles beat the Angels 4-3.  Mike Trout and Josh Hamilton homered in a losing effort, while Adam Jones two run bomb in the 3rd and sac fly in 8th lead the Orioles to a victory.  Hamilton bobbled a Manny Machado single, which allowed Nate McLouth to score. Jim Johnson closed the door on his 22nd save.  Peter Bourjos returned to the Angels for the first time since April 29th and picked up 2 hits.Brandon Phillips 3rd inning grand slam off Scott Feldman was all the run support Homer Bailey would need in a 6-2 Reds win over the Cubs.  But just for fun Phillips also knocked in 2 other runs, 6 on the day, and now has 10 HR & 52 RBI!  Zack Cozart had two hits and scored 3 times.  Bailey last 8 innings, struck out 8 and didn't give up an earned run, lowering his ERA to 3.47 and is now 4-4 on the year.Brandon League imploded in the top of the 9th inning, blowing a save for the Dodgers and allowing the Diamondbacks to score 4 runs and take a 2 run lead.  Two infield singles and a Paul Goldschmidt single to left would be nail in the coffin.  Juan Uribe did hit a solo shot in the bottom of the 9th off Heath Bell, who earned his 12th save, but in the end the Dbacks would beat the Dodgers 5-4.  Clayton Kershaw pitched a very good game and deserved that 6th W, lowering his ERA to 1.88.  Mark Ellis, Yasiel Puig and Jerry Hairston Jr. had 3 hits for Los Angeles.   Cody Ross had 3 hits for Arizona.Hisashi Iwakuma improved to 7-1 with a 3-2 victory over the Houston Astros. The Seattle Mariners are 10-4 in Iwakuma's starts and just once this season has he allowed more than 3 earned runs as his ERA sits at 1.79 after last night's start in which he allowed a single unearned run over 7 innings of work.  Tom Wilhelmsen saved his 16th game on a night in which the opposing team made 3 errors.  Jose Altuve and Endy Chavez were the only batters with multi hit games.  The Detroit Tigers lost to the Kansas City Royals in a game that was determined in the 3rd inning.  Miguel Cabrera hit a two run bomb, his 18th and now has 69 RBI, in the top half of the 3rd before Doug Fister allowed Salvador Perez, the Royals catcher, hit a game tying triple.  Lorenzo Cain then beat out an infield single to score Perez and give the Royals the lead for good.  Fister pitched a complete game in the loss, while Jeremy Guthrie won his 7th start and Greg Holland saved his 13th game.  This one lasted just 2 hours and 19 minutes.Jason Marquis beat Julio Teheran, winning his 8th start, but Tim Stauffer allowed 3 runs to score in the 9th on an Evan Gattis pinch hit 3 run bomb, his 14th.  Jason Heyward hit solo shots in the 8th and 9th but it still wasn't enough for Atlanta as San Diego would win this one, 7-6.  Will Venebale doubled and homered for the Padres driving in 3 runs and scoring twice.  Adam Dunn and Jose Bautista played home run derby last night in a 10-6 White Sox win over the Blue Jays.  Dunn hit a solo shot in the 3rd and a 3 run bomb in the 4th ending the day with 4 hits and 5 RBI.  Bautista hit a 2 run shot in the 1st and a 3 run dinger in the 4th.  Colby Rasmus also homered for Toronto.  Melky Cabrera and Alexei Ramirez each had 3 hits.  R.A. Dickey and Dylan Axelrod both had terrible starts.  Dickey's ERA went from 4.66 to 5.11!Carlos Santana's 3rd inning bases loaded 3 RBI double would be the only runs the Indians would score in a 6-3 loss to the Rangers.  Jeff Baker hit a game tying 2 run homer in the 4th and Lance Berkman hit a go ahead 2 run home run in the 7th to give the Rangers the lead for good.  Joe Nathan saved his 20th game.  Michael Bourn and Mark Reynolds went 0 for 4 with 3 strike outs.

The Miami Marlins Aren’t Far Behind the Mets

The Miami Marlins picked up a come-from-behind victory against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night fueled by a go-ahead two-run home run from...
