Joe Torre was nonplussed, however, telling the press afterwards that he wasn't worried because he thought Billingsley had improved mechanics. Despite Torre's explanation, Billingsley's third straight loss and tenth straight start in which he didn't make it to the seventh inning was enough to get all the local colmunists frothing at the mouth again about how ace-less the Dodgers are.
