Found August 05, 2012 on Buc Stop:

Baseball- very good. Tampa Bay Rays are spoiling us by being contenders year in and year out. It helps.
Basketball- March Madness makes the first football-less month go by a little less noticeably.
Key word: A little.

Oh sure the Olympics are amazing, but lets be honest, what are you going to be watching tonight?

A practice game between a team we love to hate, and the Arizona Cardinals.

But its not about the teams that are playing, or even who is going in the Hall of Fame itself (not to mention starting next year, we could see MORE BUCS going in!), but simply the fact that NFL Football is back. We will hear the sounds, see the hits, the passes, and even if it isnt our favorite team, we know the countdown is on. In 6 days our Bucs take the field again, to play a game that we get to watch and see. It may not count in the record books, but one thing is for sure.

The NFL Hall of Fame game means one thing to each and every one of us.

FOOTBALL IS BACK!

Joe Maddon will get a tattoo if Rays reach World Series

Joe Maddon isn’t your typical baseball manager. He thinks differently from many of his managerial compatriots, and he isn’t afraid to try new training methods. He also gets creative when it comes to motivating his players. On Friday, Maddon tweeted that he will get a tattoo if the Rays reach the World Series: . @rroberts19 told me I would have to get a tattoo if we played in...

Rays manager Maddon demands less of his players

A lack of production from the offense has been by far the Tampa Bay Rays' biggest problem. A week into August, manager Joe Maddon feels one way to get the hitters to do more is to do less. As he has in other seasons, Maddon plans to cut down on batting practice and other pregame work routines, suggesting the players arrive later to the ballpark. "I really want them...

Price's bid for 15th win foiled by Orioles

The dogs were out in force Sunday for a Tampa Bay Rays' promotion called Bark In the Park. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a dog day afternoon for the Rays' offense, which had no bark or bite for the second straight game. And that wasted another pedigree performance by top-dog David Price. One weekend after pinning back-to-back zeroes on the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim...

Price looks for win No. 15 against the Orioles

Based on his recent success against the Baltimore Orioles, David Price has a good chance to become the majors' first 15-game winner. Undefeated since the middle of June, the Tampa Bay Rays left-hander can achieve that feat Sunday in St. Petersburg with a third straight winning start over the Orioles. Price (14-4, 2.64 ERA) is 6-0 with a 2.08 ERA in eight starts since losing...

Video: Upton brothers each hit their 100th home run on same night

There have been several brothers that have made it to the Majors Leagues, but none have been linked as closely as BJ and Justin Upton. Blue Jays-Rays Preview

The Tampa Bay Rays' offense has stalled. The possible return of third baseman Evan Longoria could help change that. Longoria could make his first appearance since late April in Tuesday night's series opener in St. Petersburg, where James Shields looks to build off his best start of the season with another strong outing against the Toronto Blue Jays. Near the bottom of the...
