For the first time since his shoulder surgery, Ryan Zimmerman is making throws on the field. Just not in a game. Zimmerman has not yet made his spring debut. He will do so soon, but the Washington Nationals third baseman felt fine after making throws to second base for the first time since surgery.

The World Baseball Classic has started and so too has the spring of Chien-Ming Wang. Wang pitched six scoreless innings as Chinese Taipei beat Australia 4-1 in the WBC opener.
