Found June 25, 2013 on Awful Announcing:
Alex Rodriguez sent out his first tweet on May 31.  back to basics. http://t.co/MFCHhwdiC1 — Alex Rodriguez (@AROD) May 31, 2013 Somehow, almost a month has passed without us realizing his presence on the site. His handle is appropriately AROD, but that can only lead to the people who hate him modifiying it to AROID or AFRAUD or something along those lines. So far he has only tweeted eight times and follows no one. His follower base is a paltry 20K (King James has 8.7MM to give you a reference).  His tweets thus far are about as uninteresting as possible. Once he gets the hang of it and starts following people, we will look forward to the day when he accidentially publically tweets an inappropriate DM meant for one of his lady friends. Let's set the over/under at six months. Till then, we have to be content with people on Twitter trolling Alex Rodriguez. People like Jose Canseco. welcome to twitter ***** tit @arod — Jose Canseco (@JoseCanseco) June 25, 2013

Alex Rodriguez is champing at the bit to get back on the baseball field, but the Yankees might be pulling the reins on the 14-time All-Star. Brian Cashman's A-Rod Quote: The Lightening Rod Strikes Again

So, apparently, things are so bad between Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees that, the team has no problem giving the media permission to quote them using foul language about him.Why else would ESPN New York's Andrew Marchand let everyone know that Brian Cashman said Alex Rodriguez should STFU?  Marchand is a Yankees beat writer. PED Usage Business Fraud? Only Because the Leagues Allow It…
