Las Vegas 7, Reno 1 Josh Satin caught wind of Ike Davis showing signs of life at the plate and decided that he needed to step it up a notch – so he ripped four hits and drove in four runs in this 7-1 Las Vegas victory. On the pitching end of the victory was Carlos Torres, who has honestly turned it up a notch ever since I called him out in the beginning of May. I honestly don’t know if he read my little rant, but since then, he has had just one bad start (6.0 IP, 4 ER) and the other three starts have all been at least 6.0 innings with only 1 ER allowed. That’s actually pretty impressive. Torres was on his game again last night and allowed only three hits and a walk over six-and-two-thirds innings. Gonzalez Germen and Greg Peavey combined to finish the game for him with 2.1 scoreless innings.
