I was lucky enough to be in attendance for what could be a glimpse into the future of Yasiel Puig. On a night when not much was expected, Puig's star shone brightly.
The lineup was lackluster, aside from Puig hitting in the No. 3 spot. Most of the Dodger stars had played against the Padres earlier in the day in Peoria, Ariz. But the team left Puig behind, and everyone in...
PHOENIX -- Carl Crawford is scheduled to hit Thursday in a minor league game against Meiji University of Japan, two days after he took live batting practice.
This appears to mark progress for Crawford, who is recovering from reconstructive elbow surgery. The last time Crawford faced live pitching, he had to be shut down for a week. The outfielder has been working out for the last...
PHOENIX Carl Crawford could play his first game for the Dodgers on Sunday, according to Manager Don Mattingly.
Crawford, who is recovering from reconstructive elbow surgery, will hit Saturday in a minor league game. If he comes out of that without any problems, he will play the next day in the Dodgers Cactus League game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Camelback Ranch.
Zack Greinke signed a large deal to join the Los Angeles Dodgers but money does not necessarily go hand and hand with health. The right handed pitcher is in danger of missing his first scheduled start in jeopardy.
Greinke is tentatively scheduled to start April 2.
Dodger manager Don Mattingly is starting to get concerned about his high dollar pitcher. On Friday though there were...
It still seems unlikely that Zack Greinke makes his first start of the season for the Los Angeles Dodgers. His inflamed elbow will likely keep him out. However, Greinke is making progress and showing some positive signs. Like playing catch again.
Greinke will play catch again today for the first time since the diagnosis says Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Of course, playing catch...
In what can only be described as encouraging news for the Dodgers, Carl Crawford has graduated from batting practice to live at-bats. He has not joined the team in their Major League spring training games, but he has been taking minor league at-bats.
Crawford took six at-bats yesterday on the minor league side says Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. He is not playing in the outfield...
The Los Angeles Dodgers are hoping that platelet-rich plasma
injections along with anti-inflammatory medication help right-hander Zack
Greinke’s elbow recover to the point where he’ll be healthy in time for Opening
Day, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.
The Dodgers have several former cases that point to the
success of the treatment Greinke is currently receiving...
The Dodgers have really started to focus on their MLB team with the new ownership, so the improvements to the farm system might go un-noticed. Several prospects have taken steps forward, which was something they have struggled with the last few years.

PHOENIX Zack Greinke played catch Friday, throwing a baseball for the first time since he received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his sore elbow four days earlier.
Pretty good, Greinke said.
Greinke said he made 60 throws at 75 feet.
Doing more tomorrow, he said.
Greinke said he didnt know if a tentative date had been set for him to throw a bullpen session. Manager Don...
Clayton Kershaw is dominant in his start against the Rangers, while Corey Seager has a big day but leaves with an injury.
Clayton Kershaw gave his manager a scare.
Kershaw was hit in the left Achilles tendon by a hard hit ball off David Murphy's bat in the fourth inning of the Los Angeles Dodgers' 4-0 loss to a Texas Rangers split squad on Saturday.
''I might be a little sore tomorrow, but it's fine,'' he said. ''It's one of those things that will get worse...
Yasiel Puig was the main event for tonight's game, and he put on quite a show.
Yasiel Puig is surprised by his success in spring training. The Los Angeles Dodgers are impressed.
Puig continued to create a buzz this spring with a two-run homer and two singles in three at-bats Friday night, leading the Dodgers to an 8-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals in a split-squad game for both teams.
''I thought I would do well, but I didn't think I would...
