The Slanch Report:
Los Angeles Dodger James Loney may not produce like your prototypical power-hitting first baseman but when it comes to scoring with beautiful women, he does just fine. Recently engaged, Loney's engagement photos have been released and they are elegant, classy and pleasant. Also, nice rock.
Not much is known about the future Mrs. Loney other than her first name is Nadia but she seems like quite a catch herself.

The Albuquerque Isotopes are about to get a lot stronger, and it's not necessarily a bad thing for the Dodgers.
Obviously getting the potential league MVP back is always a plus, but it also allows the Dodgers to give the young-ins the appropriate playing time -- in Triple-A.
Matt Kemp and Juan Rivera at set to make rehab appearances there Sunday and Monday, it means a...
Even when Ted Lilly is not at his best, his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates continue to provide support.
The left-hander looks to improve to 6-0 while trying to help the NL West-leading Dodgers to a season-high seventh straight win and series sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night.
Off to the best start of his career, the 36-year-old Lilly (5-0, 1.79 ERA) continues...
According to Bill Shakin of the L.A. Times, Andre Ethier “does not plan to impose a deadline on negotiations on the contract extension that could keep him out of free agency.”
Dodgers GM, Ned Colletti, who said that he would like to sign Ethier to a contract extension, already spoke with the new Dodgers' president, Stan Kasten, about that matter.

Los Angeles County prosecutors declined to file felony charges Tuesday against four men arrested for a postgame beating and brawl outside Dodger Stadium, an incident that stoked memories of the vicious beating last season of a San Francisco Giants fan, but proved far less serious.
Because all the injuries involved were minor and investigators could not determine who instigated Sunday...
Magic Johnson and Matt Kemp are a match made in Heaven for Los Angeles. Johnson –– the team's new owner and former Lakers point guard–– and Kemp –– the Dodgers' All-Star outfielder –– were paired together for a photo shoot recently as they will both be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. In their own ways, they both bridge the dynamic between sports talent...

That double by Ivan De Jesus capped a day of rallies for the Dodgers, as they fought back from a 6-0 deficit against the Diamondbacks to tie the game, only to lose that lead on a Lyle Overbay homer off Josh Lindblom. The De Jesus double gave them a one-run lead, but Kenley Jansen got
The latest Sports Illustrated cover reads “Fun and games in L.A.”
That’s exactly what it feels like around here, too. There is much excitement around what the future holds for the Los Angeles Dodgers, now that a new ownership group has taken control.
Magic Johnson seems like the perfect fit as an owner, and Matt Kemp is the perfect face for the franchise ...

Oh boy most of us are probably just chomping at the bit to see this hockey game. Or not! I see these outdoor games as a distraction away from the actual hockey game. Hey I admit, that I liked the 24/7 Flyers and Rangers on HBO this past winter; that was an awesome show and you got to know the players...
Manager Bobby Valentine made it perfectly clear on Wednesday that he wants Kevin Youkilis in a Red Sox uniform, and that he doesn't foresee a trade involving the corner infielder. If the Red Sox were to open up the phone lines, though, they'd likely have plenty of suitors. Youkilis has proven to be a valuable player over the years when healthy, and there's reason to believe...
Or that’s what you would say if you believed in jinxes and what not
Another profitable day yesterday, winning my only play of the Giants over the Brewers, and improving my season record to 13-5, +$808. Let’s see if I can keep it going today with the following:
Dodgers +104 over Diamondbacks
No team is hotter than the Dodgers, who boast a league best record of 30-13. They’ve won six straight and eight of their last 10 games, and...
