The day started with a rumor that the Mets had requested to interview Marlins asst. GM Dan Jennings. Then a later report indicated that the Mets had requested to speak with three top officials from the Marlins and that Florida had denied the request. However, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reported later in the day that Jennings has a clause in his contract that allows him to interview for the Mets job.Jennings doesn't need Marlins' permission to interview w/several clubs.
