The Philadelphia Phillies finalized a three-year, $33 million contract with shortstop Jimmy Rollins on Monday.
The deal includes a vesting option for a fourth year worth $11 million. If that option is not vested, there is an $8 million club option or $5 million player option.
The former National League MVP batted .268 with 16 home runs, 63 RBIs and 30 stolen bases last season....
Jimmy Rollins is returning to the Phillies after shopping his talents as a free agent, which is the way it should be. The word is he took less money to stay in Philadelphia.
