John Maine remains unsigned, but the Philadelphia Phillies continue to appear the most likely landing spot for the right-hander, a baseball source told ESPNNewYork.com.Maine's agent Rex Gary recently suggested the former Met is feeling good following last year's shoulder surgery. Adam Rubin ~ESPN~According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly, it is believed the Maine will sign with a team withing the next day or two. He also states that the Phillies are one of a few teams who remain an option for Maine.As a Mets fan, I can't help but want Maine to land in Philly. If his struggles continue, he alone may pull the Mets a few games closer to the Phils in the statings. That being said, I don't wish bad on Maine.
